Continuous monitoring can't watch a supplier it can't identify. Impact reporting can't match a company whose name is spelled four ways. Prequalification can't score a record with no category on it. Dormancy analysis can't tell you what to switch off if the same vendor appears three times.
Clean records are not a tidiness exercise. They are the foundation everything else builds on.
What we actually do to a record
Standardise. Names, addresses and legal entity forms written the same way, so the same company stops looking like four companies.
Validate. Tax ID, business registration and entity identity checked against outside sources. A record that fails validation is flagged, not silently corrected.
Classify. Every record gets categorised — the classification that feeds directly into the impact reporting above.
